One more week in our house...

I mentioned in one of my last posts that we were moving, and we are -- we need to be out of our house one week from today - crazy!

As excited as I am to move into our new house, I will really miss our first house.  We bought it a little over 4 years ago and we turned it into our home. We just about had everything the way we wanted it... and now we are moving!  Pretty much figures :)

There are a lot of a lot of things I will miss, but I wanted to highlight a few...

Logan repainted the built-in bookshelves in the living room.  Before they were yellow 80's oak, and I think they look so much prettier in white.  Here are the before and after photos:

Before & After: Painting the built-in bookshelves white
I think the white paint really brighten up the room and made the fireplace pop!

Along with painting the built-in bookshelves, I really love this crystal chandelier we added the to room - I wanted one forever.  Maybe one day I'll find a good spot for a similar one in our new house.

Isn't it a beauty?!?

And I will also really miss our kitchen - it was big, open and we spent so much time in there.  I love our build-in style refrigerator and the mixing of the maple and cherry cabinets:

So many good memories in this house...

XOXO

Your kitchen is amazing. Mr. A would just die. We already have a big kitchen, but he keeps saying that we need an even bigger one. Good luck with the move! :)

hope you love the new place just as much as this one, and that you create many more fab memories! you will!

sometimes i drive by my old homes. i think everybody does that. it is fun and sweet to keep in touch with the past residences, particularly when you have fond memories of them. :)

We moved into our house exactly a year ago. I was ready to move because we needed the room (I was pregnant) but it was kind of sad leaving the old house. That is where I came home to after I got married and the house I brought my first baby home from the hospital. We had so many great memories in that house but we are making new ones in this house (like bringing my 2nd baby home from the hospital!) You will make new memories in your new house!
