The party began as an ugly Christmas sweater party, but it's evolved to be anything-goes-as-long-as-you-show-your-Christmas-spirit. There are even prizes for the best dressed.
I had a totally funny and fabulous costume in mind, and I thought it would be easy to pull it off. Per usual, I waited until the last minute to get started and then I had a hard time finding the materials, but I got what I thought would work.
Then I got started on the outfit, and let's just say their were tools and blood, some mine but mostly not mind. After all that, when it still wasn't coming together... I was having a Tim Gunn style "make it work" moment and I totally thought everything would pull together!
But it didn't... all the pain, no gain.
Oh well, it sounds dramatic, but it shouldn't have been! I thought it would be easy, but not in the least. And then to have nothing to show for it... geez! Maybe next year, that's why I'm not saying what it is... if you want to know and you can keep it a secret leave me a comment with your email and I'll tell you via email :)
After that, I just threw on a "as Christmas-y as I could figure out last second" outfit and went. But I had a fabulous time at the party regardless of the fact I didn't get to wear a semi-crazy outfit... because I like a good reason to dress up.

Aw well your xmas outfit is still adorable! That's like me every Halloween haha, I always think I'll make it work aaaand it never does. And yes, the Foxy comparison I get all the time, but I quite honestly don't see it! Haha I take it as a compliment though!

I wish I had a Christmas party to attend. I went to one two weeks ago that was lame (I was the youngest one there, if that says anything) and then I had one that was supposed to happen last night, but it got cancelled. Blurg!
