1st Book Club -- Beach Trip by Cathy Holton

My best girlfriends and I recently had our first book club! It was so fun to have a girls night and catch up!

For our first book, Maria pick Beach Trip by Cathy Holton:

It was a story about four college friends who drift apart but reunite by going on a beach trip.  It started a little slow, but it once the characters were developed, it was very good!

Here are some photos from our book club night!

The drinks were margacoronas (tequila, margarita mix and coronas) and they were very yummy!!

I got to select the book for our next book club, and after looking at many other blogger's reviews, I select Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen!

I hope it's as good as everyone is saying it is!  I wanted to read it before the movie comes out and I'm trying my best to avoid the movie previews so it doesn't change my perspective.

Happy Friday!

XOXO

I've been in a book club for a little over a year and half now. We girls get together to drink wine and eat a lot! (we DO talk about the books we read but usually only for about 15 minutes...crazy right?!)

We just love getting together and chatting about any and everything.
One thing I have learned though is that with time people get busy and distracted and sometimes don't have time to read the book selections. Make sure everyone is committed to FINISHING the books even when they're boring or heavy!

I have been wanting to read that book for a while, and now that you have reminded me, I'm buying it on Amazon. So thanks! :)

Aww, a book club. I wish my friends and I could start one-- unfortunately, I doubt they'd be into the idea. You girls are so cute and you'll love Water For Elephants. It was a great read.

A book club sounds like so much fun! When I'm finished at university (which is in less than three months, so scary!!) I might join or start one. Always wanted to =)
