Backpacks & Fannypacks

So I've always been a fan of purses...

(Playing dress up with my little brother)

And I love the mini-backpack that were popular back in the 90's because I was a nice transition into having a purse (and it's harder to lose when it's strapped on your back). I used to rollerblade around and the little backpacks were big enough to fit my mom's little dog:
(Shante)

And I've got a LONG walk from the parking lot to my desk in the morning, so I wouldn't mind a backpack... but I feel like it would bring me back to the 6th grade.

Louis Vuitton backpack:

DKNY backpack:

And backpacks are one thing, but fanny packs?!? This bring me back to going to the state fair with my tooth-fairy money in a zip-lock bag in my belly bag... I didn't like the word "fanny."

Marc Jacobs:

D&G:

Hmmm... can't picture myself with a belly bag again, but you never know.

XOXO

i have the Gucci fannypack :o)

ps - everything is fine with Kayleigh they said if i "wanted to" - i can get a liver biopsy - but i'm sorta on the "no" side - b/c she has NO signs of anything wrong - and for her to go through that and then be ok - so i dunno .. THANK YOU for ALL your support and advice - means the world!!!

and the rain comment was too funny - Kayleigh has pee-pee pads in the house she'll use when it's wet out :o)

oh and YUM to the mojitos and margaritas too!!!!

*kiss kiss*

At least once a day I joke about having a fanny pack... it would make things a lot easier, but MAN... even designer fanny packs are kinda wierd! However, the LV backback? I would carry that anywhere! :D

yaayyy fanny packs are in!! a few years ago I splurged on this gucci fanny pack and people laughed at me LOL. and I agree that 1 piece is harder to pull off than 2 pieces, cuz you need just the right amount of curves around your waist but not too much that it spotlights love handles. I still havent' found a 1 piece!

Fanny packs are so convenient!! I hope it's socially acceptable to wear one again, haha.

I had a hot pink vinyl one when I was little, lol.

Say it isn't so about fannypacks! Are they coming back?! They are a childhood memory and I'd like to keep them there ;).

Step away from the fanny pack by all means.

Belly bag sounds so much better than fanny pack :) We were laughing about them earlier this week while shopping for an 80's party. Some of them were truly hideous! I don't think I'll ever rock on again, even if it is a Marc Jacobs!

We call them bum bags, actually... I think that sounds nicer, too! But I still don't like them. I've seen people wear them across the chest and that's not so bad... I don't know.

I rock a backpack all of the time. So not cutie like the LV you found, it's just my LL Bean monogrammed college backpack...but it makes life so much simpler!

Now, about this fanny pack...I'm gonna have to say no to that one :)

Love that DKNY backpack! I'm a fan of big bags too, I always seem to have so much stuff with me, at least one book to read and one to write in, water, other random goodies. This requires a big bag. Never really rocked the belly bag, except for a short while training for a marathon. The friend I was training with said we needed to drink a lot of water, but I kinda still preferred just to carry it in my hand the whole time or wait for a fountain along the way :)

I would laugh at my husband when he would carry a fanny pack (he's an anesthesiologist so they use them to actually carry their medications!) oh i don't think I can embrace this trend :)

The picture of you and your brother is too cute! I don't think I could carry a fanny pack again either, no matter how hip it becomes.

I'm 41 and still a university student, I'd LOVE a Louis Vuitton backpack...but it would probably cost me as much as my tuition!

The picture of you and your brother is way too cute! In college I had an LV backpack which I completely destroyed...it was heard breaking. I really want those boots in the last picture!

My Dad calls them Butt Packs. And I'm not going to lie...I kind of wish they were in style. I mean, I love my cute purses, but sometimes I just want my arms and shoulders free!
