Interesting facts about Koalas,
• They aren’t bears, they are marsupials (like Kangaroos and Wombats) and they carry their babies in pouches - I don't think I knew that
• baby koalas are called joeys are less than an inch long when they are born – they stay in their mom’s pouch for about 7 months
• momma koalas only have one baby a year and they take 3-4 years to mature
• word Koala means ‘no drink' because they can go a long time without water
• koalas are nocturnal and sleep about 19 hours a day
So adorable !!! I want one! But I think this is as close as I'm going to get...
But I'll take it!
